Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about me. As you can see from my resume (which you can download here), I've got a lot of "varied" experience across multiple industries and disciplines. One thing that doesn't vary however; my dedication to creating a well rounded experience.

My career started at Lawrence Technological University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. During my time at university, it became more and more apparent that designing for a particular product or industry wasn't as important as expanding my knowledge base, and being able to tackle all problems known and unknown.

After pursuing two UX based internships during my studies, I graduated in 2020 with a large knowledge base and a bit of a dilemma: how to get a job in the middle of a pandemic? In many ways, it was the worst job market to become employed in, and like many others, it was a struggle to get interviews and offers. 

 

This is where my varied experience came into play! My first full-time job (which I am still at) is as an Industrial Designer at Spectas, where my main responsibility is to design in-store displays. Creating displays for a seemingly endless number of brands means every week is completely different to the next. Some of the hats I get to wear in this position include: product design, UX/UI design, marketing, and so many more. Be sure to take a gander at some of my work here at the Spectas website.

This is the story of my career thus far, but I'm excited to see what twists and turns it will take in the future!
